Come back, Grandma!
My mom just left on Monday and we are really missing her. For anyone who lives abroad and anyone who has their hands full of kids will probably understand exactly how nice it was to have her here and how hard it was to say goodbye. I think it's always hard to say goodbye when you don't know exactly where or when you'll see again. And poor Matias is trying to understand, but doesn't really. He has been playing with his Little People airplane every day and saying that Grandma went bye bye but still asking every day why her shoes aren't here anymore. :(
We were really busy when my mom was here, but a FUN kind of busy. It was especially nice for me to be able to go to Helsinki with all the kids, since I'm not able to do that (not safely, anyways) by myself. I know it was great for her to see the kids, but also great for me to be able to SHARE my kids with a family member. The girls were really sick, in incubators, and still less than 2 pounds last time my mom was here, so this visit was a lot different and a lot happier. And of course Matias always kept us well-entertained...mostly by calling my mom Grandma Whiskey every day. :) We all had so much fun that we just want her to come back!
Here are a few of the good memories from her visit here, but we were so busy having fun most of the time that we didn't take as many pictures as we should have!

Hooray for Gramma Vicky!! We missed her SOOO much while she was gone, and it is so good to have her back. We promise to take good care of her until she can come to see you again!
ReplyDeleteShe was telling us story after story last night at dinner and she called Eli "Matias" once on accident. It sounds like you all had a wonderful time and she said that you are such a good mom. I cant wait to see you and your little people!!
Thank you so very much...I had a wonderful time! I'm touched, I still have tears and I can't wait to come back! I love you all! Tell Matias that my shoes will come back again...hopefully sooner than we think!
